Update the amount of memory in the BIOS/CMOS manually
UPDATE THE AMOUNT OF MEMORY IN THE BIOS/CMOS MANUALLY:
1) Press a specific keystroke or keystroke combination while the computer is booting up to run the BIOS/CMOS setup.
NOTE: Look for the instructions on the screen while the computer is booting up. Often the keystroke is DELETE or a combination of CTRL+ALT+ESC, CTRL+ALT+ENTER, or CTRL+ALT+S.
2) Move to the memory section and update the amount of memory in the system.
NOTE: Refer to the BIOS/CMOS help or the owner's manual for assistance.
3) Save the BIOS/CMOS setup and reboot the computer by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL.
